Biography

American Copywriter is a simple little podcast about advertising and pop culture hosted by advertising creatives John January and Tug McTighe.

The show is (usually) recorded on Thursday and (usually) posted on Monday and now has a fan base of at least 14 or 15 people.

If fancy advertising awards matter to you, then you'll be interested to know that between the two of them, John and Tug have cracked Communication Arts, The One Show, Archive, Creativity, Print, US Ad Review and the National Addys.

It's clear to even the most casual observer that John and Tug's most valuable assets are their fat pie holes. Groups from around the country have had the misfortune of inviting the lads to speak to their memberships. Their presentations include:

  1. Jedi Copywriter or Everything I Need to Know About Advertisng I Learned from Star Wars.
  2. The Creative Department's Dirty Little Secrets.

They've also developed a mediocre presentation on, you guessed it, presentations. But, jeez, does the world really need another presentation presentation?

John and Tug are currently filling calendar spots for November 2006 and 2007. For booking please contact americancopywriter@shscom.com.
