I hadn't seen this before, however, judging by the views on YouTube, I'm likely in the minority. If you haven't seen it, it's truly worth a look. The Campaign for Real Beauty continues to find its way. I think this film is one of the strongest executions to date.
Thanks to Bret for the tip.

Wow. Now we all finally know that beauty is a marketable commodity. That companies like, uh Dove are selling products to help women think they can be more beautiful. {hint: top of Dove website links: your hair- your face - your skin: you are parts, not a whole]
What would be an eye opener is the stop-motion session of me having to make a 3 inch blue plastic infrared motion sensor look sexy during 6 re-shoots 'cause the client didn't like the angle and lighting.

What makes The Campaign for Real Beauty so great is its adoption of the same Web 2.0 concept that transparency is the most effective means of communication. In essence, what Dove is doing is positioning itself apart from its competitors to speak to consumers on a "real" level - and, really, how different is that from the company who chooses to forgoe the traditional path of the press release for a blog to make corporate communication more meaningful?
What a great ad!

I guess this is why kate Winslet spoke out against that infamous cover magazine. And well did she. She might look like this straight out of bed, but don't we all...
