Just this morning I ran across this great, great, great campaign for Key Bank.
Fantastic animated spots led to a fantastic animated site that, duh, rewarded me for doing what they asked me to do. I know from experience that it's pretty hard to do breakthrough work in the financial category. So serious kudos to Cramer-Krasselt and to Bowles who gave me the tip.

Everything I need to know about advertising I learned from Star Wars
I had a little disconnect with the one spot with the Olympic swimmer. She seemed to be talking about keeping her gold medals at Key Bank and then the spot was tagged with "Money Needs Attention." She didn't seem to be talking about money at all from what I recall - then again I was ridden with Olympic fever. I realize that they were going for the olympic tie-in but that was the first I'd seen the campaign. It seemed a little odd.

You really like this campaign?
I think the writing is excellent, the idea is a strategic homerun. But the visuals are just plain creepy. Grotesque, even. Disfigured. A great idea, ruined by a self-indulgent art director (oh wait, is that redundant?)
